Hi Community!

We’re pleased to announce that several Early Access Programs (EAPs) are now open for registration. These programs provide developers with the opportunity to explore upcoming features and technologies from InterSystems before their general release.

By joining an EAP, you can:

  • Evaluate and test new functionality
  • Provide direct feedback to product teams
  • Help shape the future direction of InterSystems platforms

If you're interested in contributing to the evolution of our tools and getting early insight into what's coming next, we encourage you to review the following available programs and sign up:

Hi,

We’re launching an Early Access Program for an upcoming Table Partitioning feature that will help IRIS customers manage very large tables, and distribute row data and associated indices across databases and storage tiers. Table Partitioning cuts deep into the core of IRIS relational data management, so we want to make sure we get things right through working with a few engaged customers who can provide feedback on the initial deliverables, and fine-tune as needed.

We are excited to announce the newest addition to our early access program - the Health Data De-ID tool.

The tool will de-identify structured clinical data according to HIPAA Safe Harbor and allow for re-identification if required. It uses InterSystems’ SDA canonical format which is utilized for all our standard transformation from one format to another such as HL7 to CDA, HL7 to FHIR, etc. While the tool uses XSLT transformations for performance reasons, it provides helper methods that allow for easier adjustment of the out-of-the-box de-identification rules where you don’t need to be an XSLT expert.

Health Data De-ID works on any InterSystems product, from InterSystems IRIS for Health to Health Connect to Unified Care Record.

You can join the early access program here - Sign-up for Health Data De-Identifier Early Access Program. We are in need of your feedback so please reach out as you go through the process or run into any questions.

We've recently made available a new version of InterSystems IRIS in the Vector Search Early Access Program, featuring a new Approximate Nearest Neighbor index based upon the Hierarchical Navigable Small World (HNSW) indexing algorithm. This addition allows for highly efficient, approximate nearest-neighbor searches over large vector datasets, dramatically improving query performance and scalability.

Embedded Python is about to get a whole lot more powerful, and we’re looking for a few volunteers to give it a try.

What’s the Flexible Python Runtime?

The Flexible Python Runtime option allows you to use a Python runtime of your choosing with Embedded Python. Previous to this, you could only use the operating system's default Python, which was limiting especially for customers using the latest and greatest AI & ML tools close to their data.

Last week at the InterSystems Global Summit, we announced our new Foreign Tables capability, which was introduced as an experimental feature with the 2023.1 release earlier this year. We're now inviting you to join the Early Access Program for Foreign Tables and kick the tires on this new capability, so you can let us know whether it suits your needs and what capabilities we should prioritize next.

InterSystems is putting more emphasis on promoting our Early Access Program (EAP), in which users volunteer to work with new software before it becomes generally available. In fact, we will once again be promoting the program at Global Summit.

The software could be a full InterSystems IRIS release, but is usually focused on a new capability about which we want to collect feedback. The terms and requirements for joining an Early Access Program vary with the the software being evaluated.

Signing up is really simple. Go to this link and fill out the form.

Early Access Program (EAP) is a way to to deliver specific features early to a group of people who will test and provide feedback on that feature.

One of those EAPs is about the the discontinuation of the Apache web server installation (a.k.a. NoPWS) from IRIS product installers. If you're interested in this topic and want to test it, the way to register is to send an email to nopws@intersystems.com. Use this same email for any other feedback.

Once you get a confirmation email, you'll see the EAPs you have access in the Evaluation Services website. You must log in to see the content.

Hello Developers!

Have you ever had to convert HL7v2 messages to FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) and found the process complicated and confusing? InterSystems is rolling out a new cloud based SaaS offering called InterSystems FHIR Transformation Service, which makes the process easy.  We are excited to announce an Early Access Preview Program for our new offering, and we would love to have you kick the tires and let us know what you think!  All you need is a free AWS account, with an S3 bucket to drop in your HL7v2 messages, and another S3 bucket to get your FHIR output.

We’re looking for Python developers to participate in our Embedded Python Early Access Program!  If you (or someone you know) are a Python developer and are interested, please contact us via the email address below.

InterSystems is bringing the power and simplicity of Python to IRIS.  We’re hard at work integrating Python directly into the IRIS kernel, making it a full peer to ObjectScript.

  • Use any of thousands of pre-built Python libraries
  • Easy access to IRIS from Python, and Python from ObjectScript
  • Mixed ObjectScript and Python classes
