I have an Atelier question.

I have a routine developed in Studio to upload a tab-delimited text file to process using Objectscript into Cache.

In Windows, to upload the file “test.txt”, I used the Objectscript commands,

 Set uploadfilename = “c/testdata/RNAseq/GDC download 11-19-17/GDC download 11-19-17 counts/GDC download 11-19-17 unzipped/test.txt”
      set file = ##class(%Stream.FileCharacter).%New()
      set file.Filename = uploadfilename  ; pass in the file name of the file you want to open.

How should this be done on a mac?

Should I use the UNIX,

Atelier seem so be having some issues with class queries.

If I try to collapse the query it will collapse everything that comes after it. Also nothing after this query will show in the outline.

This is on version 1.1.351

How can I access the InterSystems Class Database with the Atelier IDE?

Say I want access to the Samples database and Namespace?

Stable Releases of the Atelier plugin are now available from the Eclipse Marketplace. Just search for Atelier on the Eclipse website (https://marketplace.eclipse.org) or - even better - in the Eclipse IDE.

This is an convenient way to install this plugin, because you no longer have to enter the URL.

Where did the RemoteSystemsTempFiles project come from?

If you're using Atelier, you may have noticed a project called "RemoteSystemsTempFiles" in the Atelier Explorer and Project Explorer views. This project is automatically created by the Eclipse Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) on start-up. The RSE allows you to connect to and work with a variety of remote systems.

You can either hide this project within your views, or remove it completely by following the steps below.

Removing the RemoteSystemsTempFiles project from Eclipse

I have the Atelier plugin (latest stable release) installed in Eclipse Oxygen running on Ubuntu 16.04.2. Working well except for the BPL visual editor. When I select it, it displays a pixelated image in the view tab. Not sure if this is a Atelier issue or an Eclipse/GTK issue? Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Working fine in localhost.  While connecting to remote server getting the above error. Tried with Web Port 1972 and 80 both. Also there is no log in audit viewer.

How can I get a terminal connection to Caché server from Atelier?

Hello everyone, I work for a company that currently uses Studio on version 2016.1.2, and will be looking at options to upgrade to 2016.2 and beyond. This would also include the potential to switch from Studio to Atelier, however there are a lot of workflow changes and new features to test.

Does Atelier have a simple way to evaluate what it has to offer without needing to setup an entire separate environment? How did your organization demo its features before committing?

I have problem to run the Java Gateway Wizard in Eclipse with Atelier.

Eclipse version is the latest:

Atelier IDE is the latest stable version: version 1.0.284

Running on Windows 7 Enterprise

Ensemble server is version: Cache for Windows (x86-64) 2017.2 (Build 744U) Fri Sep 29 2017 10:58:27 EDT 

The JAR-file I am trying to import is a small example, it will just create two Apache Avro JSON-messages and write the result to a LOG-file.

Main JAR-file: DataLakeMessage.jar

Hello everyone. So as title says, I used to install Eclipse with Atelier plugin recently to work in instead of Cache Studio and spotted that all my JS-code on CSP page is colored green as you can see here:

I couldn't find how to make code-detection on CSP files like JS files. All I found is this element which controls code inside HTML tag <script></script>

..which can't help me to color for example var to be pink color and etc. Any solutions?

I started with the Atelier Stand Alone.

Now I have moved on to Atelier as a plug-in to Eclipse.

With the Stand Alone I had access to two help topics, the Workbench and the InterSystems Atelier.

Now, as a plug-in I have access to a number of other help topics.

When I do a Help Contents, how do I eliminate those help topics I have no interest in?

Or only do a Help Contents on the topics that apply to me as a Atelier user?

I apologize if you have already covered this, but there is so much to read on Atelier already.

You  probably have a similar experience.
The more I use Atelier the more I miss INSPECTOR  that I had in Studio!

First for PROPERTIES that can inherit a variable number of Parameters beyond imagination.
take %XML.Adapter as the most obvious.
next:
Where to  find all inherited methods that I eventually want to  overload? Take %Persistent as example.

Or where or how can %OnBeforeAddToSaveSet()  (the correct camel case) be overloaded ?

I am trying to find documentation on how Cache Studio locks a Routine/Class a developer is editing.

On the flip side, I am looking for documentation on how Atelier does the same.

Ultimately I am looking for the differences and what happens if both Studio and Atelier through different developers go after the same Routine/Class.

I am not asking for an answer (however that would be nice), I am looking for pointers to documentation.

I am using Atelier on Eclipse on a MacBook Pro.

When I first installed the Diagram Editor was working with DTL and BP classes. Now it does not work. A new tab opens but it is blank. 

Ideas?

I am in Atelier editing a Class.

I want to look at the window or pane that shows my Properties, 

I get to the tab that show Properties and their Value as shown below.

Now, how do I get the properties from my Class into the image below?

Thanks a lot, that we finally got the new version of Atelier, where most of the errors were fixed.

But I've found some have not fixed yet.

    set destination = $listget(waypoints,*)
    set $list(waypoints,*,*)=""

In this code, Atelier does know about asterisk as a second argument to $listget function. And in this case, even shows next lines as an error.

And one a bit annoying issue, when I open a file which had some errors in the previous version, but after an upgrade has not, to see it I should remove and return this code back.

I don't it is error of Eclipse or Atelier, but when I fixed all errors in a project, it still shows that project has some errors

In trying to understand Atelier I am directed to go through its hierarchy type of documentation.

Is the Atelier documentation going to continue as a hierarchy or at some point is it going to be integrated into the InterSystems type of documentation?

When looking for an answer it would be nice to use only one method.

Just today updated Atelier to the latest Beta release.Getting the following error in Eclipse:
Plug-in com.intersys.eclipse.legacy.extension was unable to load class com.intersys.eclipse.legacy.extension.Startup.

Unable to open Atelier perspective.

Does anybody else get this issue, how to go back to previous version?

I installed the Cache client along with Atelier on my mac.

My question is:

How do I access the Management Portal on a mac?

My Atelier stand-alone app allows me to use the Cache instance, but how do I get to the Management Portal to set up security and create new namespaces, etc.?

Also, where to I check to see when Cache is actually running?
